KIRKBY COLLABORATIVE INSET DAY 2016

On Friday 7th October 2016 the fifth Kirkby Collaborative of Schools INSET day took place at Aintree Racecourse. All staff from the 12 primary schools attended the event along with secondary representatives – Over 450 delegates in total. There were ten different conferences, specifically designed for target audiences, delivered by a range of presenters:

Creating a Climate for Excellence in Writing for Key Stage 1 and 2 staff– Rob Carpenter (Executive Headteacher of the Inspire Partnership in Royal Greenwich)

Fire Awareness / Fire Marshall; Working at heights training for site managers – Eduk8 Partnership

Supporting pupils in Maths – activities for teaching assistants  – with Lisa Baggaley and Jackie Smith (School Improvement Liverpool)

Supporting pupils in English – activities for teaching assistants – with Sarah Williams and Meryl Sangare (School Improvement Liverpool)

Team Teach training for all school staff – with Steve Shepherd (New Directions Training)
