Kirkby Collaborative Celebration of Achievement

20/01/2017parentapps

The Collaborative holds an annual Celebration of Achievement event. This is hosted each year at one of the two secondary school – Kirkby High School and All Saints Catholic High School.

The purpose of the Celebration is to celebrate the achievements of over 100 pupils from the family of fifteen schools.  Each school nominated a number of pupils to receive an award.

The Collaborative has held four celebrations to date.

At each Celebration the Master of Ceremonies has been Steve Stewart. Steve is the Referee Development Manager at Lancashire FA and a former Level 3 referee. He spent 33 successful years in teaching, School Leadership and School   Improvement, including in Knowsley, before taking up the post at Lancashire FA in 2011. Steve is a level 4 FA Tutor and has been a ‘regular’ on the National and International Courses in the last 12 years. His innovative and interactive style of   presentation means he is in high demand from Referee Societies and County FAs across the country.

As we move to full opening of our schools next week it is worth noting that last week over 1,000 children attended school each day in the 14 schools of the Kirkby Collaborative – well done everyone for your support to the Kirkby community

We know times are challenging and every little helps. We have a large amount of donated food (jars, tins, pasta rice etc). Please feel free to pop in to school between 1-3pm every Wednesday beginning today (20th). Entrance is via the car park. Remember mask and bags. https://t.co/h2f2ojgEUK

Congratulations to our 14 Kirkby schools for putting in place measures 12 hours after the lock down announcement, enabling over 650 children per day to access face to face education, support key workers and vulnerable children, AND provide home based pupils with remote learning !

Mrs Hannah has had a profound impact on our school, shaping it into what it is today & has also had an incredible impact on staff, parents & pupils alike. As we say goodbye, we know it is her time to rest & be with her family. We’ll miss you, Mrs Hannah. Love, your HF family x ❤️ https://t.co/XEQ4cVrSXn
