The Kirkby Schools Council is the pupil voice of the Kirkby Collaborative of Schools.
The Collaborative have been working with Mark Burns (Primary) and Andy Griffith (Secondary) to develop leadership of the improvement of teaching at all levels in schools through the Leading for Excellence programme.
The wonderful work of popular children’s author Nick Sharratt is celebrated at an exciting new exhibition in Kirkby.
On Saturday 4th February over a thousand visitors came along to meet children’s author and illustrator Nick Sharratt at the Kirkby Gallery.
On Friday 7th October 2016 the fifth Kirkby Collaborative of Schools INSET day took place at Aintree Racecourse – over 450 delegates in total.
An annual Celebration of Achievement event, hosted each year at one of the two secondary school – Kirkby High School and All Saints Catholic High School.
The guest of honour was Alan Jewell. Alan was a pupil at Kirkby C of E Primary School and Brookfield High School.
The guest of honour was Robyn Dooley. Robyn was a pupil at Eastcroft Park Primary School and All Saints Catholic High School.
In 2014 the guest of Honour was Cameron Graham. Cameron was a pupil at Kirkby High School.
